Celebrating 20 Years of Innovation and Service at the VPS Service Centre in Barcelona

Yesterday we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the VPS Service Centre (VSC) in Barcelona. Founded in 2004, the VSC was born with a forward-thinking vision: to centralize Training Administration for our clients across Europe. This strategic decision to integrate a common range of services under one roof has allowed VPS to consistently deliver greater efficiencies and cost savings to our clients, and, most importantly, support learners in accessing the training they need.

A Vision for Centralization, Still Relevant Today

From its inception, the VSC has proven that the advantages of a centralized training administration model extend beyond streamlining operations. By bringing services such as Learner Care, Engagement, LMS Administration, Logistics, Project Management and Data Analytics together, the VSC ensured that clients benefitted from uniform standards and faster response times, no matter their location. As our very first client, a European division of a global automotive manufacturer, put it:

“The Barcelona Service Centre centralized our Training Administration for 23 European markets, providing us with native speakers in 17 languages, and ultimately delivering a customer experience superior to that of localized services. This legacy of efficiency and excellence remains core to our operations, even as we have expanded our services and clientele. Today, we work with nine diverse clients, across sectors such as automotive, financial institutions, technology, and military organizations, serving a global user base.

The VSC team has grown to 41 professionals, hailing from 21 different nationalities, building an environment of collaboration and expertise. On the terrace of our Barcelona office, the team gathered to honor this occasion, and we were proud to receive a commemorative plaque recognizing our long-standing presence in the business district.
