VPS Team Takes on the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge!
Some of our VPS team members recently participated in the Frankfurt J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, and they’re feeling fantastic! Completing the 5.6-kilometer road race was a rewarding experience, and it was a great opportunity to bond with colleagues outside the office over dinner afterwards. Everyone is feeling a sense of accomplishment and a boost of health!
The World’s Largest Corporate Running Event
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a global phenomenon, holding the title of the world’s biggest corporate running event. It’s all about promoting fitness, friendly competition, and team building. Teams of all athletic abilities come together to conquer the 5.6-kilometer course, promoting camaraderie and creating lasting memories.
Running for a Cause
The registration fees weren’t just for the race itself; they also served a charitable purpose. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two worthy organizations: the Deutsche Behindertensportjugend (DBSJ) and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
- Laureus Sport for Good Foundation: This foundation leverages the power of sport to tackle challenges faced by young people in Germany and Austria. Their focus lies on education, inclusion, and health. By following their motto “sport creates strong personalities and strong personalities have better prospects in life,” their Sport for Good programs help children and young people develop valuable social and cognitive skills, as well as strengthen their decision-making abilities.
- Deutsche Behindertensportjugend (DBSJ): As the youth organization of the German Disabled Sports Association and National Paralympic Committee (DBS), the DBSJ champions the needs and interests of young people with disabilities (up to age 26), those with impending disabilities, and those with chronic illnesses. They create sports and educational programs specifically for these young athletes and their volunteer supporters.
We’re proud that our participation in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge not only improved health and team spirit within the VPS team, but also contributed to supporting these important causes!
